Baba Farid Tomb Blasted

Early on Monday 25 October, 2010 after Fajar prayer Baba Farid's tomb was hit by a blast. 7 devotees killed in the blast and several were wounded. Blast occurred at eastern gate of the tomb. According to the Police, bomb was planted in a motorbike which was standing at parking area of the tomb.

Immediately, after the incident, police cordoned off the shrine's surroundings. Injured people were hurried to District Headquarter Hospital.

This explosion destroyed shops on around the tomb leaving debris and stacks of rubble. Investigation has been started by the committee formed for probe.

Pakistan Army - Cambrian Patrol Winners



Tigers of Pakistan Army have won the gold medal in the toughest soldiers namely "Cambrian Patrol" held in Wales, UK. In that event many contestant armies from all around the world were there. Major armies in that were USA, Australia, Canada, UK and India. Pakistan Soldiers proved themselves to be toughest and determined wherever they are competed.

Cambrian Patrol is the premier patrolling event inclusive of hardest exercises for testing army toughness. This exercise includes leadership, teamwork, physical fitness, and mission completion. It is conducted in Britain by British Army. Competition this year was held from October 8, to October 17, 2010. 750 soldiers from many countries participated in patrolling. Pak Army beaten all 750 soldiers and proved them to be impeccable and the men at their best.

Firing near UP Morr

Firing incident has taken place near UP Morr, North Karachi. Some unknown armed men killed 3 people and wounded 1. The wounded and murdered belonged to Sipah Sahaba Pakistan. However, their names are still unknown. The dead bodies of murdered people and wounded were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Police is probing into the matter.

Exiled MQM Leader Assassinated in London

Exiled MQM leader Dr. Imran Farooq was assassinated last evening in London in Mill Hills area. He was back from a routine walk when he was stabbed to death. He was stabbed four times; the assassin made serious wounds to Imran Farooq in neck and head.

Reports say that he was ambushed outside his home. He received serious neck and head injuries which spontaneously caused the death. He was rushed to the hospital but after reaching the hospital doctors confirmed his death.

MQM leaders say that murder could be political and it could also be a conspiracy. It is also being said that the incident took place immediately before the 17th day of September which is the birthday of MQM leader. So the dates are being declared important.

Dr. Imran Farooq was the Deputy Convener of MQM and very close to party leader Altaf Hussain. After his murder Altaf Hussain literally cried due to the grief of death of a very close companion. Dr. Imran Farooq was a senior activist of MQM and accompanying Altaf Hussain from the start of the party.

He is to be buried in Karachi as his body is sent from London. His father says that Imran's brother - Rehan is departing for London to collect his body.

After his death, Karachi went unrest. Guns fire was reported in several areas of the city, as well as, some buses have been set alight. Today on 17 September 2010, much tension is to be seen in the city. Transport is totally closed and all markets of Karachi are shut after the announcement of 10 days mourning from MQM against the incident.

Supreme Court Orders DPO Sialkot for Arresting Escaped ASI

Supreme court has passed orders to DPO, Sialkot to arrest the escaped ASI Waris Ali within next 24 hours. It may be recalled that including Rana Ilyas, three cops have been arrested yet who were on the spot when Hafiz Muneeb and Mughees - two innocent brothers were being killed by a group of people.

Justice Ghulaam Rabbani and Justice Khalil ur Rehman Ramday have heard the suo moto case hearing in the supervision of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftakhar Muhammad Choudry. Khwaja Haris - Advocate General has told the court that three policemen who were present at the tragic event and they did not control the mob to kill those innocent brothers hence Waris Ali - ASI could not be captured yet. Court further asked the authorities that if some influential is hindering the capture of ASI Waris Ali, then his name should be brought before the court but DPO says nothing like that.

Hearing was adjourned at the order of capture of ASI Waris Ali in next 24 hours.

Sialkot Murdered Brothers Were Not Culprits: Inquiry Commission

Inquiry Commission for probe in the case of murder of two innocent brothers has affirmed that both were not culprits. It might be possible that they could have committed in unawareness something illegal but till the time of their murder, there was no case filed against them. He further said that policemen provided free hand to the killers for killing them. He demanded their bodies should be exhumed and be sent for postmortem.

Three Bomb Blasts in Lahore

18 killings have been confirmed yet in three bomb blasts in Lahore on September 01, 2010. Blasts happened on a religious procession besides Gamay Shah. The procession was regarding Youm-e-Ali (R.A). Blasts took place in a huge crowd killing 18 people while more than 150 people have been reported to be injured.

Blasts series started when people in the procession were doing Aftar outside Karbala Gamay Shah. Second blast was heard while the injured were being taken to the hospital. It took place at Bhati Gate. In the deceased, there was one policemen. There was a large number of children and women in the injured.


After the blasts, violence was started and police stations were attacked. According to Police, two blasts were suicide and one was a cracker.

Massive Evacuation From Thatta

Massive evacuation from Thatta is ongoing after fear of flood to Thatta. Also the people of Dadu have started moving to safer places. Merciless flood torrent is imminent to these cities. People are moving to safer places by self aid. Latest news told that breach in MS Bund has caused the huge evacuation from historical city, Thatta. Flood is feared to hit Thatta on Friday.

Citizens are moving towards Makli and they are under the open sky. District administration said that flood is expected to hit the city by Friday evening. People of Thatta are despaired as they are having such situation first time.

Protest Against Sialkot Murder Case

A protest call has been given by Jamat e Islami regarding the brutal murder of two innocent brothers in Sialkot. He said that on August 27, 2010 a nationwide protest would be held against the murder of two innocent brothers Hafiz Mughees and Muneeb, in Sialkot. He said that in this brutal incident government and system, both are equally responsible.

MQM Has Tabled Two Motions Against PML-N

Deputy Convenior of MQM, Dr. Farooq Sattar said that they have tabled two motions against PML-N, in National Secretariat. First motion says about the deal of Mr. Nawaz Sharif with dictators according to which he went abroad. He demanded to bring forth the facts of that deal.

Second motion is regarding the hidden relations of PML-N with Army. They accused that in the past Shahbaz Sharif and Choudry Nisar have had secret meetings with army but they could not get the confidence of the nation.

Flood Flown Away Bridge at Ratto Dero Garhi Khairo Road

Flood torrent flown away a little bridge at Ratto Dero Garhi Khairo road leaving many people and cars resourceless. Geo team was also present at that time for coverage of the flood. The lorries going towards Jacobabad were also trapped in the flood torrent.

Local people who were managing to leave the area have trapped in the flood, as well as, media teams have also facing trouble to cover the situation.

The spokesman of Human Rights - UN, has said that the number of recent flood victims in Pakistan has reached to 45 lac. Just in a single day, it increased with 3 lac. They also told that this flood has destroyed 2 lac 52 thousand houses also. They emphasized that aid is needed on large scale.

Raza Haider's Funeral Prayer Offered

The funeral prayer of MQM murdered leader Syed Raza Haider, has been offered in Jinnah Ground, Azizabad. In addition, his gunman's funeral has also been offered. Raza Haider will be buried in Shohdaa' Qabrustan.

Raza Haider Killed in Targeted Assault

MQM Popular Leader and MPA-Sindh from Orangi Town was killed in a targeted attack on evening of 02-August-2010. He was shot by armed motorcyclists while he was making ablution in Funeral Prayer in a masjid in Nazimabad. He passed away while he was being taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. His gunman M. Khalid Khan was also killed in the same attack. Another MQM worker namely Arsalan, in an attempt of tackling one of the attacker.




After this incident, the city is in very critical and intense conditions. There have been 46 killings reported yet after this incident. 41 vehicles are torched and tension in some areas is reported. The protests also took place in other cities of Sindh like Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Sukkur and Hyderabad.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has advised MQM leaders of patience.

Flood is on the way

Flood from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on the way to south of Pakistan i.e. several areas of Sindh. Some areas of Sindh have been declared vulnerable and Pak Army troops have reached for proactive rescue of the affected people.
