Zulqarnain Haider Willing to Join Pakistan Team Again

Zulqarnain Haider has said that he is willing to join Pakistan Cricket Team again in condition of security assurance from Pakistan Cricket Board. Right now, he has been issued a temporary identity card by British Government after taking his finger prints. He is in Britain for time being, until his case reaches a decision.

Earlier, he left Dubai silently on morning of 08 November 2010 and appeared in London UK. Zulqarnain Haider said that he was threatened and asked to lose the final one day between Pakistan and South Africa held in Dubai on 08 November 2010. Zulqarnain Haider just left a message on Facebook that he is retiring from Pakistan Cricket Team and went away quietly.

Now, several rumors are circulating regarding Zulqarnain Haider's story. Finally, he said that he is not applying for Asylum. He says, "He is ready to go back to Pakistan if Pakistan Government assures his security. His family is pressurizing him for coming back to home". He said that he is constantly getting threats and that is the reason for his retirement from Pakistan Cricket Team. He also told that he has been investigated by Scotland Yard, Border Security Agency of Britain and British Police. Now any decision about Zulqarnain Haider's residence in Britain is subject to British Interior Ministry.

It may be recalled that he has played one test match and 4 one-day matches for Pakistan Cricket Team yet.
